St. Paul's Chapel is a close-knit Christian community where students can make friends, gain leadership and volunteering experience, find community support, and above all, grow in their faith in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Many programs exist both to get students involved both locally and in the larger community, as well as programs to support the students in various ways.
If you would like to put your
student in contact with the Chapel, you can email us with their name and contact information or call us at 319-337-3652.
Welcoming students and helping them to feel comfortable at St. Paul's is a top priority, especially during the first few weeks of school when so much is new. Each term begins with a Welcome dinner. Favorable weather in the fall finds us picnicking on the chapel front lawn, munching on fried chicken, and tossing around footballs and frisbees. In the winter, we welcome folks
back with the best chili and corn bread this side of the Mississippi. Other events include a campus tour, which ignores classrooms and highlights the truly important information: where's the best pizza,
the best coffee, and who sells gelato.

up-to-date list of all chapel events, please check out our calendar.

During the School Year
Parents and
families are welcome to visit the chapel anytime you happen to be in
Iowa City. The building is normally open Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 AM
until 4:30 PM, though there is often someone here on Saturdays and at
other times during the week. Feel free to call and schedule an
appointment if you would like to meet Pastor and want to make sure he is
in the building. Parents and families are also welcome to join us any
Sunday for Bible Class and Sunday School at 9:15 AM and the Worship
Service at 10:30.
Family
Weekend is one of our favorites at St. Paul's. Many families join us
for Sunday morning activities, and we welcome you to make us part of
this
wonderful weekend hosted by the university.
During The Summer
We also welcome visitors during the week on campus visits or orientation; either Pastor, Deaconess
Miller or the administrative assistant is usually here from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM during the week. We're happy to chat and answer your questions, so feel free to drop in!
Directions to get to the Chapel as well as navigate inside can be found here.
College kids are proud of where they grew up. One of the favorites activities of spring term has become our "Hometown Tours." We've visited everywhere from rural Benton County, meeting quite a few cows up close
and personal, to traveling to St. Louis and riding to the top of the arch.
We've seen the John Deere Museum in Moline and eaten MaidRites at
the original restaurant in Marshalltown.
If you are game to host about 7-10 students for a tour of your hometown, let us know!
Each semester
we send out our Family Newsletter
which highlights the semester's activities. There is no cost to receive
this mailing. Simply call us at 319-337-3652 or email us at
stpaulschapel.iowacity@gmail.com and we will add you to the mailing list.
