Welcome!
St.
Paul’s Lutheran Chapel and University Center is the Lutheran
Church-Missouri Synod's campus ministry to the University of Iowa. We
are located within easy walking distance of many of the dorms and academic
buildings. St. Paul's congregation is pleased to be the church home
for university students, international students and scholars, and residents
of the Iowa City area.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Chapel is a busy place. The highlight of the week is
the Sunday Divine Service at 10:30 A.M. Activities during the week
include Table Talk, Bible studies, mission trips, service projects, and
social and athletic events. If you are in search of a quiet place to
study or relax, the Chapel's quirky architecture provides plenty of
nooks and hideaways; you are welcome to stop by any time. Also, just to
let you know, my door is always open so feel free to wander into my
study and chat.
At St. Paul’s, we believe that since God first loved us, we are to reflect
His love to the community. We are committed to preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus in its truth and
purity. In all of our activities, the heart and core is always Jesus
Christ crucified and risen for us!

Table Talk is a topical Bible study based on subjects chosen by the participants. Topic studies occur in two parts: first we meet to throw the idea around, consider our personal experience or opinions, what we have heard or seen about the subject, and build a list of points of interest or argument. Then we come back and examine the discussion from a Biblical perspective and see how they match up. Everyone is welcome!
