St. Paul's Chapel is located at 404 E. Jefferson Street. The entrance to the parking lot is to the left off of Jefferson, which is a one-way street running east (away from the Pentacrest). To get here from campus, follow Jefferson Street away from the river from the north side of the Pentacrest (in front of MacBride Hall). You'll find us on the northeast corner of Jefferson and Gilbert (to your left, if you're coming from campus)--we're the little chapel with the red doors!
We rarely use the front doors except on Sunday mornings, but if you come around to the back door, it is usually open during the week. Pastor is here from Tuesday to
Saturday and Deaconess Angie is in Monday through Friday; there are also often International student classes or conversation groups going on, or students just chilling out and studying (or procrastinating).
Also, we often have Chapel students come here to practice playing organ, piano, or their own instruments. If you are interested in using the choir loft or basement to practice music, just let Pastor know and we can make arrangements for you.

Once you're inside...
Many first-time visitors are daunted by the interior layout of the Chapel. As one new student once put it, it can seem at first as though "the building was designed by a sadistic architect who had just finished reading House of Stairs." Don't be afraid! At the time that they were built, the Chapel sanctuary and the parsonage were separate buildings. Later they were joined together into a single building, but the floors were a few feet off from each other. As a result, there are a few half-stair cases hanging around here and there. Though a little confusing at first, this floorplan makes games such as Sardines and the annual Nerf War much more interesting.
The building has three floors and (basically) two stair routes from top to bottom.
The ground floor consists of the ISM office, the sanctuary, and the Student Center, where we hold many of our Bible studies and meet for events or to hang out.
On the second floor are Pastor Mons's study, the secretary's office, and the Treasury/Development office,
and the choir loft, as well as a small belltower room where students can go to study or relax in a less trafficked area.

The basement houses the Sunday School room, the kitchen, and the Hottel Center, where we gather after Divine Service to socialize and eat cookies, as well as host larger events and dinners.
